We just submitted our proposal for “To Seek and Save” to a potential publisher.
Tonight, I was fixing the last little things in Chapter 2. I’ve been messing with it for several weeks, insisting on tweaking a word or two here or there. I was reading the lines that are so familiar, I’ve got them memorized.
I realized that some of those words we wrote two and a half years ago. Wow. I’m used to working in newspaper where I write a story and it’s published in about 12 hours.
This has a been a fun – and long – and interesting – and educational – journey. And it’s not over! No matter what the editor’s verdict, we’re still pushing forward.
Many of you have been praying with us the last week or two as we prepared to submit the proposal. Thank you. (Prayers would still helpful, by the way.) Before I sat down at the computer, I was listening to a worship CD and praising God. Then I thought how even submitting this manuscript can be an act of worship.
It’s my prayer that “To Seek and Save” is acceptable to the editor and our book gets published. Even more, it’s my prayer that it is acceptable to God and a pleasing act of worship to Him.
“I urge you brothers in view of God’s mercy to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. This is your spiritual act of worship.” Romans 12:1
